Toolz On Mic brings bars, lyric videos and comedy skits, released regularly across TikTok, Instagram and now YouTube too, with official music videos landing on ToolzOnMicVEVO. He writes dense, multisyllabic wordplay, stacking Triple, Quadruple & Quintuple internal rhyme chains within a single bar and holding that scheme integrity across full 8 barz without breaking cadence (Pull It Up 🎙️ Last 8 Barz: Quintuple 8 Bar). Of Irish and Gambian heritage, he’s the lyricist behind HerbSyde’s two current releases, It’z Been Out 4 TIME! and its skits-and-bonuses companion tape, both mixed and mastered by BannDIgz.

Over 10 years before HerbSyde was a name, Toolz On Mic was already deep in the DatPiff mixtape era, featuring on every tape in that run from day one. His debut, The Pre TOMB, dropped in 2009. By 2013, Principium Finis was written and produced inside a single month.

Toolz’s older brother, known as Brotherman (also Gabrial), was a massive underground artist in the jungle rave scene who sung as well as spat. His passing in 2019 is what pushed Toolz back into writing again, though it wasn’t until December 2025 — when he and others started formulating the plan — that he got serious again, this time building towards not just a mixtape but a full collective of rapperz and producerz: HerbSyde.

That plan is now in motion. HerbSyde is four artists deep: Kayto, BannDIgz, Toolz On Mic & Yung, and the whole gang is already on wax. It’z Been Out 4 TIME! (feat. Yung & BannDIgz) and The Skitz & Bonuses (feat. Yung & Kayto, including HerbSyde Cypher I & II) are both streaming on 25+ platformz. BannDIgz and Kayto are both making instrumentalz too, so artistz looking for beatz can holla them direct.

The first four tapes were sold physically too, including through Big Apple Records in Croydon. Next up: Cypher III, a HerbSyde back-2-back over a Marzz Made It beat feat. Kayto & Yung, landing on the new mixtape “HerbSyderz” in Winter 2026.

BannDIgz and Marzz Made It are currently producing 90% of his next full mixtape, It’z Been Out 4 TIME! Too, dropping 2027 and featuring BannDIgz, Kayto & Yung. Yung has featured on every Toolz On Mic project since, The TOMB dropped.

BannDIgz mixes every one of his tracks and always has, and he has also worked with Kwakzino and YungCory out in LA, and many others back in da day.

Every artist picks up a tag before they pick up a mic. His came first 🎙️ “Toolz,” the nickname that stuck from when he was a yung buck, for reasons that are exactly as obvious as they sound. It followed him straight into the booth.

Years before HerbSyde existed, a teenage Toolz opened every freestyle the same way: “It’s Toolz On Mic.” One time he tacked an unfiltered word onto the end for punctuation (cos man was CRUNK), the room reacted, and a habit became a hook: “It’s Toolz On Mic… Bitch.” Shorten that to its initials and you get T.O.M.B., Toolz On Mic Bitch 🎙️ the four letters he ran into the ground on every DatPiff-era tape, and the same four letters The Pre TOMB, The TOMB and The Pro TOMB still carry in their names today.
